!!WELCOME THIS IS MY STORY!!

This site is dedicated to all my wonderful swimming and slithering pets. Through this site I hope to show and inform people with all the knowledge of fish care that I have. From building your own filter or pond to reviving beaten fish, I've done it all for the past 5 years!

I've had numerous tanks, and this whole dang thing started with a critter carrier and a tadpole a long time ago. I fed, changed the water, and did everything that was needed for the little guy but he just wouldn't live. So in his last days I thought he might need a 10 gallon tank seeing the critter carrier might be to small. But by the time I got home he had already moved on to tadpole heaven. :-(

So now I had a 10 gallon tank with accessories and nothing in it. I got that all set up and about a day later I went back to the friendly PetCo store and saw two just ugly torn up angel fish but they were the only two and I was in love. I took care of them and later bought them a few friends such as my silver dollar which I still have and this cat fish that im not sure what it is but was told it was a bumble bee cat fish. Bumble bee cat fish get about two inches and mines about six so I think that's wrong. I also bought a pleco and a clown knife.

Now my fish were growing quickly and very large for a 10 gallon so it was off to mom and dad to ask for a 30 gallon set up for my birthday/christmas. So that was a perfect little set up for my beautiful lengthy finned angels.

Anywho, on to the fish store I said and soon bought a few discus, a baby albino oscar, and an archer fish(one of my favorite types of fish but every time I get one it dies from something really stupid) and im sure some others who are no longer around. The discus were horrible every month I'd have to take them out and put them in the 10 gallon because they would stop eating and stress out. But that was kind of my fault cause I put an OSCAR in with them... what the hell was I thinking. I guess its just me trying to always have new combinations of fish and inverts that everyone says shouldn't go. I love the fishie challenge haha.

But one horrible day came which would mess up my fish history forever. Me as a total n00b (beginner) at the time did a water change with water that took the tank from a good 78 degrees to a good 56 degrees. Uhg. I didn't think it would effect them all but just about all of them went into shock. The discus and angels were toast and on went a new chapter in the fish story. Now with my discus and angels 6 ft under I decided to go towards the aggressive side of fish keeping. I had, had my eye on this beautiful little six inch fish that would be the perfect show fish for my tank. This fish is my two and a half foot long silver arowana of today.

But now my fish had started to get too large for this tank and I needed a bigger one. So off to mom and dad for some help for the last time for a bigger tank. I promised it would be the last one but little did they know this was just the beginning. So off to PetCo (I hate to buy fish from PetCo because they're usually unhealthy but their tank and supplies prices are perfect) again and I had my eye on this perfect sized 80 gallon tank that would be just right for the spot in my room. This tank was just right for two whole years. I stuffed those fish everyday with 16 gum balls of blood worms, hakari pellets every night, and of course weekly six dozen goldfish. Yea I was proud of them but we needed to move. Technical difficulties with mom sent me to dads apt where I had to do my first large scale fish tank move without killing any fish. This was hard and I knew I could do it with a couple of trash cans and a truck. So I emptied the tank into three 30 gallon trash cans and put the fish in one. Then I removed as much gravel as possible and moved it out of place and into the truck. It was a lot of man power but now I have it down to do it perfectly without ever losing a fish. I moved my 80's 3 times and I had to move a 100 twice and a two hundred once. So I got all these fish situated in our new home.

Little did I know that moving here would let me learn about things that only pros would know about fish. ITS ALL ABOUT KNOWING THE RIGHT PEOPLE! haha... more to come soon... this is only half way!
